Privilege To Post

I can't really write online without eventually acknowledging what a privilege it is: to be able to write, to share my thoughts digitally, to build a platform for myself, to work digitally.

Computers were a big part of my life from a pretty early age. Even my lower-middle-class family had one (though ours was a couple years behind the Johnson's model). Since I was kind of a nerd already I spent a lot of my time exploring and building with them.

I'm just often grateful that I've been able to turn those passions over time into a big part of my career. I wouldn't be where I am today without the opportunities I was given along the way. And I acknowledge that, however personally challenging it was, it was likely smoother for me than it could have been for many others.

As I learn to share more, I hope to keep that privilege in mind (and use it for good).
